David Fincher Wants to Film 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea in 3D

Director David Fincher has shown his support for the 3D genre by saying he’s interested in filming one of his upcoming movies, ‘20,000 Leagues Under The Sea,’ in the format, Cinemablend.com is reporting. Fincher, who rose to fame in October after helming one of last year’s best reviewed films, ‘The Social Network,’ dismissed the technology’s critics by saying he thinks 3D is cool when it’s done right.

However, the director isn’t sure yet when he’ll have time to helm ‘20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.’ Fincher is working on the remake of the Swedish hit ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,’ and may also adapt its two sequels, ‘The Girl Who Played With Fire’ and ‘The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest.’ He is also lined up to direct several other projects, including ‘Rendezvous with Rama,’ ‘The Killer’ and ‘The Reincarnation of Peter Proud.’
